Posters all over the place In Wash state

There were posters all over the place in Washington state last week for the Wash/Ne game today. I wanted to take a pic but camera was not with me. We just missed the game by a week. Glenn's class with Richard LaLonde was fantastic. Come see the finished products during our first anniversary celebration Nov 6th. We will be having a special exhibit of glass art for that day. It's a surprise for now, so stay tuned. BUT don't forget to mark your calendar...Nov 4,5 classes with Kay and Rona, Nov 6 make and take it flower with Kay and Rona, last week in Oct trunk show of their work, Saturday Nov 6th anniversary celebration and open house. Don't miss it!

Kay Kaduce and Rona Horn classes at Springfield ArtWorks Nov 4,5,6

I have posted some pics of the vessel, scarf and potential jewelry pieces that we will be making in our Nov 4,5 classes at the gallery. You can start signing up later next week when full pricing info will be out. Better make a quick trip to the gallery for this. Spaces should fill up fast as these instructors classes are always delightful.. You may already have their books in your stash. We will also be having a trunk show of their work the last week in October. There are a couple of purses that they made in the gallery now....so come on out.

Classes on Nov 4,5 and 6th`

Save the dates! We are having some great classes on those dates. Watch for more details later.

Felters from around the globe

I continued to be impressed by the great felting around the globe. Ck out my facebook profile for some wonderful pieces from Germany.

Planning Christmas ornaments out of felt

I am working on some wonderful felted Christmas ornaments that I plan on displaying during and prior to the holidays. They will be "magical". Watch for them.

Geodes

Just finished making some felted geodes. They turned out great. Plan on teaching classes on those later.

My visit to Nebraska Museum of Art

Glenn and I visited the Museum of Nebraska Art in Kearney, NE over the weekend. We got to see a felted wall piece done in the 1800's. It was a felted mosaic. We have never seen anything like it before. It was lovely. Also got to take some pictures of the cranes that were to be auctioned off soon. They are made out of fiberglass and were all tied together to keep from getting damaged in the wind. Took some photos. May share them later.

Weekend Wonderings

Spent the weekend at the Nebraska State Fair and points beyond. I volunteered at the state tourism booth. Had a great time sharing info about Sarpy County and Springfield ArtWorks as well as passing out brochures on other Nebraska tourism spots. Met lots of great people from around the state. Also met an Idaho couple who are familiar with the Trailing of the Sheep Festival in Idaho in October. I'll be there with bells on!

Felting and jewelry teacher to be featured in November

Help us celebrate our first anniversary in November. We are bringing in two teachers from Wisconsin for 2 days of classes and one day of make and take it. I am still working on final details....such as cost but it is REAL! I have some of their work in the gallery now and available for purchase. I will also have a trunk show of their work the week before the anniversary events. Save the dates, Nov 4,5 and 6th. It's exciting.
