Just in Case You Miss the Classes

If you can't make the classes next week, you can still learn how to do nuno felting, felted vessels and felted flowers. Kay and Rona's DVD are available at Springfield ArtWorks......just $13 each.

New CD's arrived

It's exciting around here....today I got Timothy Seaman's new CD. It is a collection of some of the most wonderful and beloved lyrical melodies from Scotland, Ireland and Wales, freshly and innovatively played in a distinctively personal outflow of joy and fond yearning---featuring the extended-range hammered dulcimer and flutes and whistles. Wonderful and relaxing sound. I have Tim's other CD's available here at the gallery too.

Time Is Drawing Near for Classes & Open House

Just 4 days til the workshop instructors arrive...yippee! Omaha area will never be the same! Yesterday tons of jewelry arrived for the trunk show and it's all out awaiting eager customers. These are georgous pieces. Also some felted flowers, felted vessels and fantastic handbag and scarves.....better hurry out for the best selection.

Found new artist for gallery

I found an incredible silversmith at the fair today. Hopefully I'll be carrying some of his work in the future....maybe in time for the holidays.

Navaho-Churro sheep

Today at the Folklife fair, visited with some folks who raise Navaho-Churro sheep. I was excited as I have been wanting some of that wool to use with kids in making wool covered soap. I had a chance to experience that wool at Convergence in Albuquerque this year and was very happy that I now have more. I got a pot holder that the woman made. It is incredibly sturdy...and beautiful.

Josh Simpson's website

Just got an email from Josh. Always fun to see what he's up to. Some great "planetoids" are available from him monthly. Seems like a fun thing. He is also judging a pie eating contest...for the Shelburne Center MA Fall Festival. Must love that pie!

Teachers are busy busy

Kay and Rona report that they are having a great time preparing for their trunk show and workshops in Springfield in Nov. I'm excited too. I went to Ashland, Gretna and the tourism center today delivering flyers. You can pick one up there if you can't make it to the gallery.
If you have a chance, check out the textile symposium in Lincon this week. It will be a great event. Be sure and also ck out John Marshall's Japanese pieces.
